As a litigation attorney in the Real Estate Group, Karl frequently litigates complex issues in real estate transactions, commercial leases, business ownership disputes, and investment ventures. Karl’s practice includes a particular emphasis on claims of fraud and misrepresentation, breach of contract, and violations of the Washington Consumer Protection Act.

Karl has experience representing both individuals and businesses, large and small, and understands the importance of carefully tailoring his approach in each dispute to the needs of his client, maximizing outcomes through zealous advocacy, while remaining sensitive to the cost burden that intensive litigation requires. Karl leverages the breadth of experience of the Real Estate Group to ensure excellent, efficient, and effective representation for his clients.

Prior to entering private practice, Karl obtained valuable litigation experience as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for King County, and as a Certified Law Clerk for the Washington Attorney General’s Office in the Labor and Industries Division. In law school, Karl regularly competed in national moot court and mock trial competitions against the best law schools in the country, garnering awards for both oral and written advocacy. He was inducted into the Order of the Barristers in 2022 as a result of his competitive success and graduated cum laude from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law.

Outside the practice of law, Karl is an avid musician with broad experience across a wide range of genres. He is a classically trained pianist and upright bassist, and also plays the guitar, electric bass, and drums. He enjoys writing and recording music in his spare time and has a B.B.A. in Music Business (legal emphasis) from Belmont University. Karl is proud to call the Pacific Northwest home again, returning after completing his studies in Tennessee and California.
