Isaac is an appellate advocate and commercial litigator, helping clients navigate business and regulatory disputes. He is a dedicated champion for his clients, crafting persuasive briefs and advancing their cases at oral argument, with a talent for communicating complex legal issues and telling his clients’ stories in a compelling narrative.
His recent accomplishments include obtaining a unanimous Washington Supreme Court victory, reversing the trial court’s approval of election recall charges against a county official, and securing discretionary appellate court review of a discovery order that risked exposing attorney-client privileged documents. He has also served as a special deputy prosecutor for a municipal entity on appeal. Isaac also regularly prepares amicus briefs for industry associations, non-profit organizations, and healthcare entities, and is often asked to serve as embedded appellate counsel during trial, handling motions in limine, jury instructions, and post-trial briefing.
On the regulatory side, Isaac represents corporations and individuals in administrative hearings and government investigations. He regularly appears before the Washington State Office of Administrative Hearings, the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner, and the Washington State Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals. His strategic guidance and straightforward advice help clients obtain the best results in any dispute, whether it is resolving an investigation by consent order or challenging a legal issue on appeal.
Isaac graduated from the University of Washington School of Law and previously was a legislative assistant with the Washington House of Representatives. Outside of his legal practice, Isaac’s interests include hiking (especially around the North Cascades National Park), cinema, and running.
